I have a feeling Baldy will be writing more on this blog than Blondie, but that is okay, it is largely going to be a team effort. Right Mindy?.....Mindy.......
Anyway, at least I am going to be using this site to keep our friends, family and loved ones up to date on our whereabouts, adventures, misadventures, and basic goings-ons.
Our pending trip to Korea and our friend's current around the world trip sparked the idea, but I assume it will continue after our trip so as to stay in touch with everyone.
So you ask, "What are you two doing in South Korea?" Well, Mindy and I will be teaching English to kids in elementary up through the high school level. "Why?" Other than the fact we both want to travel, teaching in South Korea is like paid travel, as we can save up some cash through the process. We had the opportunity to head to Nicaragua for a while, but we felt that with what we both wanted to do, making money would be a wiser decision than spending it. Currently, it looks like we will be leaving the first of April with teaching starting in late April or early May. Before leaving we are interested in having a going away party, but we are not sure if we will be able to squeeze it in with everything else - we will keep you posted. When we do leave the plan is to either peruse the offerings of South Korea for the short time before we start teaching, or to head farther east into Thailand and the rest of South East Asia. When teaching in South Korea is done we are going to take a one month trip in the country of our choice -probably India- before returning stateside and head onto bigger and better things.
We both plan on having a bunch of adventures, so you can keep up with us, and them, through this. We figure we will post updates every now and then, but neither of us are very big on schedules, so you can expect rather sporadic and untimely posts. In fact, our interest in this entire idea may last one post. Regardless, please check in on us every now and then, or drop us an email.
